About Peaceful Soul Therapy

Hi and welcome to Peaceful Soul Therapy. My name is Phil Aylward. I live in (sometimes) sunny Brighton on the south coast of the UK. I am a fully qualified therapist holding a Professional Diploma in Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy. The diploma is accredited by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Committee & the Hypnotherapy Association.  

I found Hypnotherapy when I had a phobia that was severely restricting my life and needed help to overcome with it. A friend recommended a hypnotherapist and I was struck by the effectiveness of it. I have a deep interest in the human mind and have studied the area extensively. I have successfully worked with many clients across a range of conditions and have received excellent feedback. I teach mediation and am studying towards a diploma in teaching meditation. I am also the founder and editor of Peaceful Soul, a website dedicated to mental and physical wellbeing.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a highly powerful and science based form of therapy. The success rate is high and results are often seen in much fewer sessions than alternative therapies. often misunderstood and underrated form of therapy. It works by communicating with the sub-conscious. The sub-conscious contains all of our patterns and traits and more often than not needs to be worked with in order to make meaningful. The hypnotism used in hypnotherapy is not like stage hypnotism, it is more getting into a very relaxed focussed state where it is possible to work with the sub-conscious in order to make significant changes. A client is always in control during a session.

Psychotherapy is a very broad term that covers a wide range of therapeutical approaches. The term actually means the treatment of a mental disorder by psychological rather than medical means. Psychotherapy helps people change their behaviours and overcome their problems usually via one to one interactions with a therapist. 

Solution Focussed Therapy

Solution Focussed Therapy works by looking at solutions rather than delving deeply into problems. The benefits of this approach mean that a client does not need to go keep the reliving the problem and rather look at how they wish life to be. When looking at a preferred future, we can change the way the mind works to start focussing on making the changes that we wish to see. The combination of this therapy with hypnotherapy is a powerful way to build a new mind and change ways of thinking.
